I have two seedling Carambola trees.  One tree is about 8' and the other is 6'.   They are both approaching 3 years old, and will hopefully fruit sometime this year or next year.

I recently acquired a Sri Kembagan Carambola that is supposedly flowering size.  I have been told that this variety is more consistently sweet than Arkin, the commercial variety available in grocery stores.
